Dalton Trace Florida Killed in Dean Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 79 at Taylor Road

Dean, Texas (February 6, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon, just north of Dean, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:20 p.m., February 4, on Highway 79 at Taylor Road.

DPS said Dalton Trace Florida, 18, of Wichita Falls, was driving southbound on Highway 79 when he veered into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a northbound semi-truck.

The force of the impact ejected Florida from his vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
