Woman Killed in Five-Vehicle Crash on IH-37 in San Antonio

1 Killed and 2 Injured in San Antonio Five-Vehicle Crash on IH-37 at Florida Street

San Antonio, Texas (September 27, 2021) – According to the police, a woman in her 20s was killed, and two other people were injured Saturday night in a chain-reaction crash in San Antonio, near the Alamodome.

The fatal crash happened around 9:00 p.m., September 25, on Interstate Highway 37 North at Florida Street.

Police said traffic was piling up on the highway following a concert at the Alamodome. A pickup truck swerved to avoid crashing into the stopped traffic, leading to a chain-reaction crash.

A total of five vehicles were involved in the collision.

A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Two other people were taken to a local hospital in unknown conditions.

No other injuries were reported.

Interstate Highway 37 was closed following the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
