Pedestrian Struck, Critically Injured by Vehicle on Interstate 35 in Austin

Pedestrian Hospitalized after Austin Crash on Interstate 35 near Barwood Park

Austin, Texas (March 19, 2023) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Austin, according to a local news source.

The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. on the Interstate 35 southbound service road near the intersection with Barwood Park just north of US 183.

As per the report, a vehicle hit the pedestrian on the roadway.

The pedestrian sustained critical, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center.

A second person was involved but was not hospitalized.

The crash remains under investigation.
