Brooke Trexler Struck, Killed by Vehicle on US 259 in Nacogdoches County

Brooke Trexler Killed in Nacogdoches County Pedestrian Accident on US 259

Nacogdoches County, Texas (October 15, 2020) – A woman was killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Nacogdoches County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 8:10 p.m., October 12, on U.S. 259, just north of Nacogdoches.

DPS said a car was traveling southbound in the outside lane when it struck Brooke Trexler, 41, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, who was attempting to cross the highway from the eastbound to the westbound side.

Trexler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, Kailyn Lewis, 20, of Nacogdoches, was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
