Michael Faraj Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Fitzhugh Road in Hays County

Michael Faraj ID’d as Person Killed in Hays County Crash on W Fitzhugh Road near Crossroads Drive

Hays County, Texas (September 7, 2022) – Authorities have identified the person who died on Saturday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision in Hays County as Michael “Mike” Faraj, 25, of Dripping Springs.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly crash happened at around 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, in the 500 block of W Fitzhugh Road near the intersection with Crossroads Drive.

DPS said Faraj was driving a 2009 Honda Civic eastbound on W Fitzhugh Road when, for an unknown, he allowed the vehicle to drift off the roadway to the right onto the grassy shoulder.

Faraj then swerved back onto the road and entered the westbound lane. The Honda was still traveling opposite of the flow of traffic while negotiating a curve and collided with a 2016 Toyota 4 Runner that was heading westbound.

Faraj was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
