Two Killed in Wichita County Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 287

Wichita County, Texas (May 15, 2023) – Two people were killed Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Wichita County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 2:00 a.m., May 14, on U.S. 287 near Wichita Falls.

DPS said six vehicles were involved in the crash.

Two people were killed in the crash. The victims’ identities have not been released.

Several other people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash closed the freeway for several hours.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
