Angelina County, Texas (January 26, 2023) – Authorities have identified the teenager who died in a traffic accident earlier this month in Angelina County as Dakody Tyshawn Aahmad Hall, 15.

The deadly crash happened at around 8:45 p.m. on January 4 on State Highway 103 and Crain Road.

Authorities said Terry Lynn Vaught Jr., 37, of Longview, was driving an 18-wheeler and was turning eastbound on State Highway 103 from Crain Road when he failed to yield the right-of-way to an oncoming 2009 Chevy Colorado.

The Chevy reportedly crashed into the trailer.

Hall, who was a passenger in the Chevy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A.
