1 Injured in Crash Involving HPD Cruisers on North U.S. 59 Freeway in Houston

One Injured in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on North U.S. 59 Freeway (Eastex Freeway)

Houston, Texas (May 3, 2021) – According to the police, one person was injured Saturday night in a traffic accident involving HPD cruisers in Houston.

The wreck occurred around 9:45 p.m., May 1, on the North U.S. 59 Freeway (Eastex Freeway).

Police said a car rear-ended a patrol car that was blocking traffic for a minor crash. The force of the impact caused the patrol car to crash into another patrol car.

Both officers were outside their vehicles at the time of the crash and were uninjured.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
