Alex Cerda Killed in Harris County Bicycle Accident on C E King Parkway near Tidwell

Harris County, Texas (June 6, 2021) – According to the deputies, a bicyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in northeast Harris County.

The deadly accident happened around 4:00 a.m., June 5, in the 8600 block of C E King Parkway near Tidwell.

Deputies said Alex Cerda, 37, was picking up his bicycle in the outside lane when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan.

The sedan driver fled the scene after the accident.

Cerda was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Cerda’s mother, Zenaida, said her son was mentally disabled and used a bike for transportation.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the accident is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-274-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
