Curtis Jackson Killed in Jasper Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Hwy 90

Jasper, Texas (January 3, 2020) – A man was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash near Jasper, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash occurred on Thursday, January 2, on U.S. Hwy 90.

DPS said Curtis Jackson, 54, of Newton, was driving westbound at an unsafe speed when he slid off the roadway to the left and struck an unoccupied truck tractor semi-trailer, which was parked off the edge of the roadway on the grass.

Jackson was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
