One Injured in Odessa Multi-Vehicle Crash at Eastridge and Loop 338; Danny McKenzie Arrested

Odessa, Texas (August 15, 2023) – One person was injured Friday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Odessa, according to the police.

The crash happened on August 11, in the area of Eastridge and Loop 338.

Police said 49-year-old Danny McKenzie was driving a Ford F-550 when he hit one truck on East University, then left the scene and hit two other vehicles. He then crashed on 52nd Street and was found with a firearm.

One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crashes.

McKenzie was charged with failing to stop and render aid, unlawful possession of a firearm, and leaving the scene of a crash.

An investigation is underway.
