One Hospitalized after San Angelo Crash at Sunset Boulevard and Sherwood Way

San Angelo, Texas (September 20, 2019) – One person was injured in a DUI rollover crash Thursday morning in San Angelo, a local news source reported.

The collision occurred on Thursday, September 19, at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Sherwood Way.

Police said a black Ford Escape was heading southbound on Sunset Boulevard in the right-hand lane while a white Ford F-250 with a trailer connected beside it was also southbound.

A silver Toyota Corolla was heading eastbound on Sherwood Way when it ran a red light and hit the Escape. The impact caused the Escape to hit the F-250 and rollover.

The Escape driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The Corolla driver was taken to the Tom Green County Jail for driving while intoxicated and disregarding a red light.

An investigation is underway.
