One Killed and One Injured in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on Beechnut Street; Nicholas Griffin Arrested

Houston, Texas (November 25, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured early Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:50 a.m., November 20, in the 9995 block of Beechnut Street at the intersection of West Sam Houston Parkway service road.

Police said Nicholas Orlando Griffin, 34, was driving a black Dodge Charger eastbound on the street when he ran a red light and hit a blue Toyota Corolla and a blue Honda Accord, which were traveling southbound on West Sam Houston Parkway service road and had the right of way.

The Toyota driver, a 65-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Monday, November 21. His name has not been released.

The Honda driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Griffin was arrested at the scene and has been charged with intoxication and manslaughter.

The police are investigating the crash.
