Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-35 in New Braunfels

Man Killed in New Braunfels Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

New Braunfels, Texas (March 2, 2021) – A man was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in New Braunfels, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred around 8:15 p.m., March 1, in the 1900 block of Interstate 35 North, near the FM306 overpass.

Police said the man was crossing the highway when he was hit by a large-profile vehicle that then fled the scene. The man was also struck by several other vehicles.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released, but he was described as having dark hair and was wearing a black long sleeve hoodie, dark-colored pants, and work boots.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of the highway for several hours.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call New Braunfels police at 830-221-4100.
