1 Killed, 1 Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Highland Drive in Lewisville

18-Year-Old Killed, Juvenile Critically Injured in Lewisville Pedestrian Accident on Highland Drive

Lewisville, Texas (December 22, 2020) – One person was killed and another was critically injured Friday night in a pedestrian accident in Lewisville, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident occurred around 8:00 p.m., December 18, in the 400 block of Highland Drive near Club Ridge Drive.

Police said a 31-year-old woman was driving eastbound when she veered into oncoming traffic, crashed head-on into another vehicle, and then struck two pedestrians who were walking along the sidewalk.

One of the pedestrians, an 18-year-old man from Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, a juvenile, was taken to Children’s Dallas Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The two were brothers.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving and has been charged with Intoxication Assault and Intoxication Manslaughter.

The Lewisville Police Department is investigating the accident.
