Man Killed, One Injured in Edinburg Two-Vehicle Crash on US 281

Edinburg, Texas (April 21, 2023) – A man was killed, and another person was injured Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash 25 miles north of Edinburg, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 6:10 p.m., April 20, on US 281.

According to the report, a 2014 Nissan Sentra was heading southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when it collided with a 2021 Lexus GX460.

The male driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Lexus driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
