Chester Smith and Connie Smith ID’d as 2 Victims Killed in Temple Crash at SH 317 and Little Mexico Road

Temple, Texas (October 4, 2023) – The two people who died after a traffic accident on Thursday evening in Temple have been identified by the Temple police as 91-year-old Chester Smith and 80-year-old Connie Smith.

The deadly crash happened at around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, September 28, at the intersection of SH 317 and Little Mexico Road.

Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash.

One of the vehicles had three occupants, while the other vehicle had a single occupant.

Connie and Chester suffered severe injuries and were transported to a nearby local hospital. One of the injured individuals died on September 29, while the second patient was in critical condition and died on September 30.

The remaining two occupants sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
