One Killed and Two Injured in Waco Two-Vehicle Crash on 20th and Colcord; Mario Rocha Jr. Arrested

Waco, Texas – One person was killed and two others were injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Waco, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:22 a.m., January 21, in the area of N. 20th and Colcord.

Police said 24-year-old Mario Rocha Jr was driving when he hit another vehicle with three people inside.

One of the three people was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be okay.

Rocha fled the scene and was later arrested and charged with failure to stop and render aid in a crash involving death, a second-degree felony.
