One Killed and Two Injured in Grand Prairie Two-Vehicle Crash on Marshall Drive

Grand Prairie, Texas (August 8, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed and two others were injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash involving a vehicle that was fleeing police in Grand Prairie.

The fatal crash happened around 9:28 p.m., August 6, in the 2300 block of Marshall Drive.

Arlington police said shots were fired after two people attempted to rob another person at gunpoint in the 800 block of Timberlake Drive. Officers responded and when they arrived they were notified about a vehicle that was fleeing the area.

The officers tried to make a stop on a Chevrolet Impala, but the driver did not stop.

The Impala driver lost control of the car on Marshall Drive and crashed into an SUV that was yielding to emergency vehicles.

The Impala driver was ejected from the car and was taken to the hospital where they later died.

A passenger in the Impala and the SUV driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said no one was injured in the shooting.

The Grand Prairie police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
