1 Dies, 2 Hospitalized after Needville Crash at Padon Road and Needville-Fairchilds Road

Needville, Texas (September 1, 2019) – A person was killed and another was injured Friday night in a traffic accident in Needville, police said.

The fatal crash occurred at about 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 30 at the intersection of Padon Road and Needville-Fairchilds Road.

According to the police, a car was traveling southbound on Padon Road when it ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck headed westbound on Needville-Fairchilds Road.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the car was ejected and landed on the roadway. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a nearby hospital. A passenger in the pickup truck was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The names of all parties involved have not yet been disclosed.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
