Man Killed in West Austin Multi-Car Crash on U.S. Highway 290 near Fitzhugh Road

Austin, Texas (May 1, 2019) – A man died in a multi-car crash that took place on Tuesday morning in West Austin.
According to a report by the Austin-Travis County EMS, the collision happened at about 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the 11100 block of West U.S. Highway 290 near Fitzhugh Road.
It’s unclear how the cars collided. The ATCEMS said at least one person who was pinned in the wreckage was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were three other patients who were taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash.
