David Jones ID’d as Man Killed in Bell County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 95

Bell County, Texas (September 13, 2019) – The man who was killed Thursday morning in a head-on crash in Bell County has been identified as David Jones, 33, of Bartlett, according to the Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened at about 6:30 a.m. September 12, on State Highway 95.

DPS said Jones was driving a Ford passenger car southbound on the highway when he drifted into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a Cub Cadet 18-wheeler.

The big rig driver swerved to the left in an attempt to avoid the car.

Jones was declared dead at the scene.

The big rig driver and a passenger were taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
