Man Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Applewhite Road near Walsh Road

San Antonio, Texas (August 19, 2020) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in South Bexar County, according to police.

The crash happened just after 11:00 a.m., August 18, in the 13000 block of Applewhite Road near Walsh Road.

Police said the man was driving at a high rate of speed when one of his tires blew out, causing him to swerve into oncoming traffic and hit an 18-wheeler.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries where he later died. His name has not been released.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
