One Killed in Dallas Car Crash near Westmoreland Road and Davis Street

Dallas, Texas (February 1, 2019)  – A fatal car accident left one person dead and a suspected DUI driver arrested in Dallas on Wednesday evening, according to the police.
The crash took place shortly before 11 p.m. January 31 near Westmoreland Road and Davis Street.
Police said a 24-year-old man was driving southbound on Westmoreland Road when he ran a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Davis Street.
The impact caused the eastbound vehicle to strike a third vehicle at the intersection.
The driver of the eastbound car was found pinned inside her vehicle and was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver who ran the red light reportedly fled the scene after the incident and was later located in a nearby house. He was arrested on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter and hit-and-run.
The crash is under investigation.
