Person Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on FM 973 Road

Austin, Texas (April 29, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The deadly accident occurred at around 5:18 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, in the 3000 block of South FM 973 southbound.

Austin Police said an SUV hit the pedestrian who was walking in the right traffic lane.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The Austin Police Department is investigating the crash.
