1 Adult, 4 Children Injured in Abilene Car Accident on North 18th Street near Mockingbird Lane

Abilene, Texas (August 29, 2019) – Five people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a head-on collision in Abilene, authorities said.

The accident happened at about 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 on North 18th Street near the intersection of Mockingbird Lane.

According to the authorities, a black pickup truck collided with an unknown vehicle on the roadway for an unspecified reason.

As a result of the collision, the pickup careened toward a USPS delivery truck, which it collided with head-on.

The driver and four children in the pickup truck were all injured in the crash. The five patients were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No injuries were reported in the second vehicle or the USPS truck

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
