Three Injured in Bastrop County School Bus Crash on FM 535 at FM 20

Bastrop County, Texas (February 14, 2020) – Three people were injured Thursday afternoon in a school bus crash in western Bastrop County, according to the DPS.

The crash was reported around 12:40 p.m. February 13, at the intersection of FM 535 and FM 20.

DPS said a Subaru driver ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck a school bus. The impact pushed the bus off the roadway when it overturned.

The bus driver and a bus monitor were on Bus 509 at the time of the crash, and no children were on board.

The Subaru driver was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin with serious injuries.

The two people on the bus were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The troopers are investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Every accident has its own set of circumstances and no two accidents are exactly the same. That’s why there is no way to know whether a particular incident qualifies as a situation worthy of legal pursuit unless all details are carefully examined. If negligence was a factor to personal injuries, pain, and suffering, property damage or loss of life, then the probability is high that a case can be built.
