One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Sam Houston Parkway East near Cottingham Road

Houston, Texas (November 7, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle Wednesday night in SE Houston, police said.

The deadly accident happened on Wednesday, November 6, in the 5100 block of South Sam Houston Parkway East near Cottingham Road.

Police said the pedestrian was walking on the feeder road when they were hit by a vehicle.

The victim was killed in the crash.

The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident.

Investigators said impairment was not a factor in the crash.

The eastbound feeder lanes were closed at Cottingham Lane and were later reopened.

An investigation is ongoing.
