Man Killed, 3 Injured in Car Crash on Rigsby Avenue in San Antonio

80-Year-Old Man Killed, Three Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Rigsby Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (April 1, 2021) – According to police, a man was killed, and three people, including a 2-year-old, were injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio.

The fatal crash occurred on March 31, in the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue near Covington Avenue.

Police said an 80-year-old man was driving out of a side street when he was T-boned by a silver car occupied by four people.

The silver car caught fire after the collision.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Three people, including a 2-year-old, in the silver car, were taken to the hospital for treatment. The child was listed in critical condition.

The crash closed both directions of Rigsby Avenue.

The crash remains under investigation.
