Maccie Rodrigues Killed in Port Arthur Motorcycle Crash on Woodworth Boulevard

Port Arthur, Texas (August 21, 2020) – A woman was killed, and a man was injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon in Port Arthur, according to police.

The fatal crash happened at about 3:54 p.m., August 18, in the 1900 block of Woodworth Boulevard.

Police said a man was riding a motorcycle when he failed to yield at a red light and struck a passenger vehicle.

The man was airlifted to a Houston hospital with serious injuries. His female passenger, 27-year-old Maccie Rodrigues, was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead at the scene.

The Criminal Investigations Division and Advanced Accident Reconstruction Team of the Port Arthur Police Department are investigating the crash.
