Revella Dickens Injured in Car Crash on Highway 190 near Jasper

Revella Dickens Injured in Jasper Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 190

Jasper, Texas (August 3, 2021) – A woman was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash, just west of Jasper, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m., August 2, on Highway 190 West in front of St Michael’s Catholic Church.

DPS said Revella Dickens, 48, of Zwolle, Louisiana, was driving a Buick sedan westbound on the shoulder of the highway while Kolten Peveto, 20, of the Call Community, was driving a Ford pickup truck on the westbound lane.

Dickens tried to make a U-turn and pulled out in front of the pickup truck, resulting in a collision.

Dickens was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with serious injuries.

Peveto was uninjured in the crash.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
