Kyle Hammack ID’d as 15-Year-Old Boy Hit and Killed by Vehicle on Texas 183 near Forest Ridge Drive in Bedford

Bedford, Texas (June 7, 2022) – The 15-year-old boy who was killed after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Bedford has been identified.

Kyle Reed Hammack died in the crash that happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the 3000 block of Texas 183 near the Forest Ridge Drive.

Bedford police said Hammack was hit by a vehicle on the eastbound toll lanes of Texas 183.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Hammack unconscious. The medics performed life-saving measures on Hammack and took him to the hospital.

At 12:20 a.m. Sunday, June 5, Hammack’s condition deteriorated and he succumbed to his injuries.

The involved driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
