Adam Taulbee, Laura Almanza Dead, 1 Hurt in Dump Truck Crash on FM 1541 in Amarillo

Adam Taulbee, Laura Almanza Killed, One Hospitalized after Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1541
Amarillo, Texas (March 11, 2019) – Two people were killed, and one other was injured early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Amarillo, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal crash happened at about 1:10 a.m. on FM 1541.
DPS said a tow truck was heading northbound on FM 1541 when it struck the trailer of an 18-wheeler that was backing into a loading dock but crossing the roadway while doing so.
The tow truck driver, Adam Taulbee, 28, of Austin and his passenger, Laura Almanza, 28, of Lubbock, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The big rig driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road condition at the time of the crash was dry.
The crash remains under investigation.
