Robert Reynolds Critically Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash at Bell Street and 34th Street in Amarillo

Robert Reynolds Hospitalized after Amarillo Car Crash on Bell Street and 34th Street

Amarillo, Texas (June 1, 2019) – A man was hospitalized with major injuries after a multi-vehicle wreck that took place at an intersection in Amarillo Friday morning, according to Amarillo police.

The crash happened at Bell Street and 34th Street around 9 a.m. on Friday, May 31.

Police said Robert Reynolds, 60, was driving a red 2011 Ford 4-door car northbound on Bell Street when he was hit by a white 2004 Chevrolet pickup traveling eastbound on SW 34th Street. A silver 2009 Honda Pilot and a black 1999 Dodge  pickup truck were also caught up in the collision.

Reynolds sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said speed and alcohol appeared to have played a role in the crash.

The incident is under investigation.
