Three Injured in Southtown VIA Bus Crash on South Flores Street

Southtown, Texas (May 6, 2021) – According to officials, three people were hospitalized on Monday following a multi-vehicle crash involving a VIA Metropolitan Transit bus in the Southtown area of San Antonio.

The crash occurred just before 12:00 p.m., on May 3, in the 800 block of South Flores Street, near Guadalupe Street.

Officials said the VIA bus was stopped on the street when it was rear-ended by a vehicle.

Two other vehicles then collided behind the bus.

Three people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

There were 15 passengers and a driver on board the bus at the time of the crash. A few of them were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
