1 Seriously Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on IH-14 in Killeen

57-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Killeen Three-Vehicle Crash on IH-14 near Clear Creek

Killeen, Texas (May 11, 2022) – A 57-year-old Killeen man was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Killeen, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened on May 10, on Interstate Highway 14 near the Clear Creek overpass.

DPS said a 2018 black Mercedes Benz and a gray or silver Audi sedan were street racing when they both collided. The Mercedes driven by a 21-year-old man then hit a blue Ford Taurus driven by the 57-year-old.

The Audi driver fled the scene after the crash.

The Taurus driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The authorities are looking for the Audi which sustained right side damage.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any information about this crash is asked to contact the Belton Highway Patrol Office at 254-831-6900.
