One Killed, Williamson County Deputy Injured in Crash on I-35 in Jarrell

One Killed and Williamson County Deputy Injured in Jarrell Car Crash on Interstate 35

Jarrell, Texas (September 28, 2020) – A Williamson county deputy was injured Sunday night in a traffic collision that left another person dead in Jarrell, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened at about 11:15 p.m., September 27, on Interstate 35.

Authorities said the crash involved a WilCo patrol car and another car.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deputy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of I-35 at exit 277.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
