One Killed in North Austin 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (February 21, 2020) – One person was killed early Sunday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in north Austin, according to police.

The fatal crash happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 35 between Rundberg and Braker lanes.

Police said a pick-up truck might have been traveling the wrong way on the freeway when it crashed into an 18-wheeler.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identities have not been released.

The crash closed I-35 and Rundberg/Braker lanes. The lanes have since been reopened.

The police are investigating the crash.
