1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on County Road 258 in Callahan

One Killed in Callahan Crash on County Road 258 and FM 603

Callahan, Texas (October 4, 2023) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Callahan on Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.

The deadly crash occurred on County Road 258 and FM 603, about 13 miles south of I-20.

Authorities said a vehicle was traveling on County Road 258 when it was struck by another car that was crossing FM 603.

The driver, who was on County Road 258, died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police temporarily closed a stretch of FM 603 between CR 258 and FM 604 as of 1:00 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
