1 Killed in Two-Car Crash on Loop 360 in Austin

One Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 360 near Pennybacker Bridge

Austin, Texas (July 31, 2021) – One person was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Austin, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:00 a.m., July 30, on Loop 360 near the Pennybacker Bridge.

Police said two vehicles collided, for unknown reasons, on the loop.

One of the cars had four passengers while the other had one person only.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed all northbound and southbound lanes of North Capital of Texas Highway from Westlake Drive to West Courtyard Drive for several hours. The lanes were reopened around 6:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
