1 Killed, 4 Injured in Crash on Mopac Expressway in Austin

One Killed and Four Injured in Austin Crash on Mopac Expressway near Parmer Lane

Austin, Texas (November 2, 2020) – According to a local news source, one person was killed, and four others were injured Tuesday night in a traffic accident northwest of Austin.

The fatal crash happened just after 9:45 p.m., December 1, in a construction area on the N. Mopac Expressway, Southbound, near the Parmer Lane exit.

Officials said a vehicle drove into a construction area on the expressway.

The car driver was pinned in the car.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two pedestrians were taken to St. David’s in Round Rock with potentially serious injuries and the other with critical life-threatening injuries. Two other pedestrians were taken to Dell Seton Medical with serious injuries.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
