William Wood Killed in Andrews County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 1967 and CR 4401

Andrews County, Texas (February 25, 2021) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Andrews County, northwest of Andrews, according to troopers.

The fatal crash happened around 12:38 a.m., February 23, at the intersection of FM 1967 and CR 4401.

DPS said a Honda passenger car was traveling westbound on FM 1967 while a Dodge pickup towing a trailer was traveling eastbound.

The Dodge failed to yield the right of way while turning left and crashed into the Honda.

The Honda driver, William Wood, 42, of Hobbs, was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center where he later died. 

The Dodge driver was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
