One Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 37 in South Bexar County

Driver Hospitalized After South Bexar County 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 37

South Bexar County, Texas (August 11, 2020) – One person was injured early Tuesday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in South Bexar County, according to deputies.

The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 37, between Mathis Road and Hardy Road.

Deputies said an 18-wheeler rear-ended another 18-wheeler, for unknown reasons, on the interstate.

The impact caused serious damage to the vehicle and ripped a door off the other. Large debris and some cabbage that was being hauled by one of the trucks was left on the roadway.

One of the drivers was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

No other details were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
