Motorcyclist Killed in High-Speed Chase Crash on Highway 289 in Gunter

Man Killed in Gunter Motorcycle Accident on Highway 289

Gunter, Texas (March 7, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed in a high-speed chase crash Friday morning in Gunter, according to the police.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. March 6, on Highway 289.

Police said the man was fleeing from Southmayd police when he was spotted by Gunter police. He was traveling over 140 miles per hour.

The chase came to an end when the man crashed into a semi-truck, which was turning into the Exxon.

The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Gunter police are investigating the crash.
