74-Year-Old Man Injured in DWI Crash on I-35 in San Antonio

74-Year-Old Man Injured in San Antonio 3-Vehicle Crash on I-35 near Loop 1604

San Antonio, Texas (August 20, 2023) – A 74-year-old man was injured Saturday night in a DWI crash in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, according to the police.

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m., August 19, in the 3600 block of I-35 North, near Loop 1604.

Police said a 41-year-old man was driving a black Ford F-150 when he collided with two other vehicles.

The Ford driver tried to flee the scene on foot, but he was caught by officers near the scene.

Several people were injured in the crash, but only a 74-year-old man was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford driver was evaluated and found to be under the influence and was taken into custody. He has been charged with intoxication assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
