Jimmy Williams Killed in Nacogdoches County Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Highway 259

Jimmy Williams ID’d as Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on U.S. Highway 259 in Nacogdoches County

Nacogdoches County, Texas (May 5, 2022) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday night in Nacogdoches County as Jimmy Williams, 41, of Nacogdoches.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, on U.S. Highway 259, about 1.5 miles south of Central Heights.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Williams was walking southbound in the outside lane when he was struck by a 2018 Toyota Yaris that was heading southbound in the outside lane.

Williams died at the scene.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
