Injuries Reported in Grimes County Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 105 near County Road 314

Grimes County, Texas – Injuries were reported in a rollover crash on Wednesday in Grimes County east of Navasota, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened on January 3, on Highway 105 near County Road 314.

DPS said a Kenworth Truck tractor was traveling eastbound when it approached slower traffic due to a bicyclist and dog traveling westbound on the eastbound shoulder. It swerved into the westbound lanes and hit a 2018 Ford Explorer. The Ford was then struck again by a 2020 Chevrolet pickup that was traveling westbound behind the Ford.

The Kenworth went into the westbound ditch where it overturned and began to leak diesel fuel.

All occupants were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information was available.

The troopers are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
