Melissa K. Rodriguez Killed in Denton Pedestrian Accident on Dallas Drive near Johnson Street

Denton, Texas (January 21, 2020) – The woman who was injured in a pedestrian accident earlier this month in Denton has died, according to the authorities.

According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, Melissa K. Rodriguez, 51, of Denton, died on Sunday, January 12.

The accident occurred at about 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, in the 200 block of Dallas Drive near Johnson Street.

Police said Rodriguez was in the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident.

Rodriguez was taken to Medical City Denton, where she died three days later.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
