Craig Ross Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident on 50th Street in Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas (July 4, 2022) – The Lubbock Police Department has identified the motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle early Sunday morning at an intersection in Lubbock as Craig Ross, 52.

The accident happened at around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, July 3 at the intersection of 50th Street and Avenue D.

Police said Ross was riding his motorcycle near the 400 block of 50th Street when he collided with an SUV driven by Darlena Williams, 31.

Ross sustained major injuries and was taken to Covenant Medical Center. Williams and her passenger, Chron Taylor, 29, sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed in both directions following the wreck.

No other details about the crash were immediately provided. The accident remains under investigation.
