Robert Kramer Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 385 in Hartley County

Robert Kramer Among 2 Killed in Hartley County Car Crash on U.S. 385

Hartley County, Texas (April 18, 2022) – Robert Kramer, 47, of La Veta, Colorado, was among two people who were killed in a head-on crash Sunday night in Hartley County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on April 17 on U.S. 385.

The DPS said a Mazda CX5 was traveling northbound on U.S. 385 when the driver drifted into the southbound lane to try to pass other vehicles.

For an unknown reason, the Mazda collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander, driven by Kramer.

Kramer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, 29-year-old Kelly Williams of Lewisville, Texas,  was transported to the hospital in Dumas, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
